The Matetsi Safari Area is one of the largest hunting complexes in Zimbabwe, consisting of 7 separate concessions, covering 3,000 km2 (1,200 sq mi) in total. The area reaches from the Zambezi River in the North to Hwange National Park in the South. It was named for the Matetsi River, which flows through the southern section of the Safari Area. The hunting area is famous for its large population of Sable antelopes.

The concession was established by the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe to generate revenue for conservation programs in the country’s indigenous forest areas through recreational hunting as well as photographic safaris. Ngamo is one of the world’s finest dangerous game hunting safari destinations. The hunting area consists of 8,000 square kilometers of forest land and supports a prolific and diverse number of plants, birds and animal species.

Bubye Valley Conservancy is a privately owned 1.6 million acre property situated in the South West part of Zimbabwe. The dedication of the owners to preserve this area for wildlife has resulted in the Bubye Valley Conservancy being one of the finest areas in Africa for dangerous game and plains game. The Bubye Valley Conservancy is the premier hunting area in the region. There are no internal fences, reminiscent of the pre-colonial days. Vast herds of

buffalo, eland, kudu, zebra, wildebeest and giraffe abound.

The conservation quotas ensure record trophies are continuously secured. Of particular note is the quality of kudu, eland, wildebeest, buffalo, lion and leopard that are taken each year.

Set amongst exsquisite surroundings, there are several luxury camps on the property, each fully equiped with an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold running water and electricity powered by a generator. Access to the Bubye Valley Conservancy is more accessible by road or air charter via Bulawayo. It is advisable that clients schedule their arrival and departure accordingly
